"Valerie" was like many women who walk into pregnancy centers every day. 

Despite numerous visits to a pregnancy center in Houston, this woman decided to allow Planned Parenthood to accommodate her to abort her child. The pregnancy center's efforts were not in vain, as the impact on this woman was felt at just the right moment.

"As a life-affirming doctor, one of the core principles I live by is to 'never pit mom against baby.' 

By this I mean, I refuse to reinforce the idea that my patient's well being is opposed to her unborn child's well being."

In December 2022, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced a change to the label of the emergency contraceptive drug Plan B One-Step. 

Specifically, it removed the warning that Plan B One-Step, which primarily aims to prevent ovulation, may also cause embryonic deaths by altering the endometrium to prevent implantation.
