Restrictions on abortion in North Carolina changed overnight as the State Legislature voted to override Governor Cooper's veto of SB20 on May 16, 2023.

According to the NC Family Policy Council, the Care for Women, Children, and Families Act "will save thousands of unborn lives every year and provide resources and support for women and families facing unplanned and crisis pregnancies."
